Journey from the Bait to the Fish in the Turqoise Aegean

Çamlı, which has become the leader and a role model of the aquaculture sector since 1983, when it was first established, breaking new grounds in the sector, participated in Turkey’s largest aquaculture fair, Future Fish Eurasia International Fisheries Import and Processing, Aquaculture and Fishing Technologies Fair, that was organized for the 7th time at the International İzmir Fair and Exposition Center on 5-7 June 2014.

During the Future Fish Eurasia Fair, which brings together the most significant players of the aquaculture market in Turkey, Çamlı’s stand has become the center of attention as the firsts in the sector were displayed along with the company’s experiences and power within the framework of the concept “Journey from Bait to Fish in the Turquoise Aegean”. Both fish baits and Pınar Balık products were presented to a number of domestic and foreign producer/importer companies.

The company showed once again to the sector that it is environment friendly and carries out its production activities without harming the environment by displaying the “Friend of the Sea” logo, which is a sustainable aquaculture certificate that is issued to only 50 enterprises worldwide, with the slogan “The World Knows We are the Friends of the Sea”.

The fish farming sector, which has started following the initiatives of Mr. Selçuk Yaşar, a businessman who has introduced several novelties in Turkey, to produce sea breams – sea bass in Çeşme, Ildırı, has developed tremendously and over the years Turkey has become one of the major players in the European fish-farming sector. Çamlı, which has become the pioneer of this exceptional progress, currently continues to carry out its activities with a fully integrated structure that ranges from the production of fish baits to fish fries.
