Instructions for Use
Çamlı Koyun Süt Feed is used together with good quality hay or grazing to feed our sheep. A feeding program prepared with hay and Koyun Süt Feed is provided below. A similar program can also be applied under the condition of grazing on good quality pasture and giving lower amounts of roughage.
Important Information
- We must ensure there is sufficient feeding space in the barns. All our sheep should be able to access feed simultaneously.
- Sheep should have free access to clean and drinkable water.
- At least 1.5 m² of dry bedded resting area should be provided per sheep, 1.7 m² for pregnant sheep, and 2.5 m² per ewe in lambing pens.
- It is beneficial to house and feed our sheep according to their lambing periods.
- Depending on whether the sheep graze or not, daily consumption of at least 1–1.5 kg of good quality hay is important for rumen health.
- It is advisable to house and feed twin or multiple-bearing sheep separately.
- High humidity and insufficient ventilation in barns increase respiratory problems. Especially in winter, excessive and direct drafts should be avoided. Also, ensure that barns are adequately ventilated.
