Instructions for Use
Çamlı Oğlak Büyütme Feed should be offered free-choice to kids starting from 1 week of age.
Important Information
- Ensure that kids receive colostrum as soon as possible after birth (within the first 2 hours), and are fed two doses of colostrum within the following few hours.
- Kids must have free access to clean and drinkable water from day one.
- It is beneficial to house and monitor kids separately up to 1 week of age. The ambient temperature during this period should be around 25°C. The housing should be planned to accommodate 2-3 kids per 1 m². From 1 week of age, kid feed should be provided free-choice.
- For kids aged 2-3 weeks, the housing density should be planned so that no more than 2 kids share 1 m². Ambient temperature should be at least 15°C.
- Kids can start consuming good quality roughage from 2 months of age.
- Kids can be weaned at 2-3 months old if desired, but it is advisable to avoid other stress factors and changes during this period.
- Weaning may be delayed by 1-2 weeks for kids with growth retardation or health issues. Also, weaning can be postponed by one week during very cold weather.
- Necessary health monitoring and preventive vaccinations for kids should be performed under the supervision of a veterinarian.
- To ensure the success of the kid growing program, tracking birth weight and weaning weight is important for evaluating the feeding program’s effectiveness.
- We must ensure sufficient feeding space, adequate dry bedding area, proper ventilation, and that humidity in the housing does not exceed 70%.
